Choosing eye and lip colors slightly darker or brighter than your natural tones give a glamorous look without being overly done. Lip gloss is elegant and sexy. Apply it lightly so it doesn’t run. Another glam tip is to wear individual lashes! Adding a couple of lashes on the outer corners of the eyes, gives a glamorous look and makes the eyes appear larger. You will look and feel extra special!
You are not limited in color ranges and textures. However, it is a good idea to stay away from colors that are too frothy, but the satin shimmers are great. You should talk to your makeup artist about colors that you are comfortable wearing.
The only products you need during the wedding day are lip liner, lipstick and pressed powder. Your lips will need to be touched up and if you have oily skin, a pressed powder is a must.
Many different products will keep your makeup from running. Keri Berman Cosmetics has an excellent eye base. Try “Stuck On You.” It holds eye shadow on for up to eight hours. Powder will be helpful and set your foundation, blush, lipstick and shadow. You can also try waterproof mascara and eyeliner.
I do not recommend facials immediately before the wedding day. If you are used to getting facials regularly, go at least two weeks prior to your wedding day. This will allow enough time for your skin to recover from redness and irritation. Remember that facials will bring out impurities, so you should give yourself time to heal.
You should start looking for a makeup artist and hair stylist as soon as you know your wedding date. This will allow enough time for you to have a consultation and book your artists for the day of the event. Most makeup artists are booked several months in advance. Also, it is important to feel comfortable with your makeup and hair styles, as well as the personalities of your makeup and hair artists.
